We met in ninth grade through a mutual friend and spent years flirting and talking without ever officially dating. Randy attended my sweet sixteen and used to watch out for my sister when they were in school together. Every time he saw my mom picking my sister up, he would tell her that I was the love of his life and that he was going to marry me. I never believed him—LOL. Little did I know, he would eventually prove himself right.On January 13, 2021, we finally went on our first date at Noches de Colombia. What started as years of friendship, flirting, and getting to know each other slowly turned into something neither of us could ignore. From that night on, our friendship deepened into a love filled with shared jokes, late-night conversations, family dinners, spontaneous adventures, and countless memories that brought us closer together.Over the years, we’ve grown together through every season of life. We’ve celebrated each other’s accomplishments, supported one another through the difficult moments, laughed until we couldn’t breathe, and learned what it truly means to be a team. Somewhere along the way, our favorite person became our best friend, our safe place, and the person we couldn’t imagine our future without.What makes our story even more special is that, in a way, Randy had been telling everyone how our story would end long before I ever believed him. The boy who once told my mom he was going to marry me is now the man I get to call my fiancé—and soon, my husband.Now, after years of friendship, love, memories, and growing together, we’re so excited to begin our next chapter as husband and wife. We can’t wait to celebrate our love on September 19, 2027, in Totowa, NJ, surrounded by our favorite people—the family and friends who have been part of our story and who mean so much to us.Our story started as two ninth graders who had no idea where life would take them. It became a friendship, then a love story, and soon it will become a lifetime. ❤️
